Reliance Jio is all set for a new revolution. Jio 4G VoLTE phones will be launched on 21st July in Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries Limited. The price of this phone would be as low as Rs. 500.
A new tariff plan is also expected as the current Dhan Dhana Dhan offer will end by this month.
After a fast-paced start, Jio has faced a market downturn due to a limited number of affordable 4G phones.
By introducing low-cost phones, Jio is making a smart move to reinforce its subscriber base. This will attract the users from switching to Jio 4G from 2G.
As of statistics, in April 2017, Jio had 112.55 million subscribers.
Jio has already hit the network operators by its Dhan Dhana Dhan offer. Now, this marketing storm will hit telecom industry, majorly in the handset business.
Jio is the only operator with VoLTE-only. While the leading operators like Vodafone and Airtel are struggling with their trials on VoLTE.
According to a report, 18-20 million orders are already placed for these phones with Chinese phone makers like Crave, Megaphone and Zhejiang Techchain.
These feature phones will hit the market by August 15 under the brand Lyf, which is a part of Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Digital.
