Amidst the months-long India-China standoff at Doklam seems like the effect of heightened bilateral tension has gone beyond which is now being faced by Indian and Chinese citizens.
According to the latest report, Satnam Singh Chahal, executive director of North American Punjabi Association, became a victim of misbehaviour done by the staff of China Eastern Airline at the Shanghai Pudong international airport.
Chahal was travelling from New Delhi to San Francisco via China Eastern Airlines and had a stop at Shanghai Pudong and there he noticed that the staff member at the plane’s wheelchair exit gate was insulting Indian passengers.
And When he complained, he was reportedly abused, Then Satnam Singh Chahal wrote about it to Our minister of external affairs Mrs Sushma Swaraj. “I noticed from (staff’s) body language that they were frustrated,” were his words.
While the China eastern airlines denied the allegations and said “Instead, the airlines’ employees offered meticulous service.” according to China’s Xinhua news agency, it said it checked CCTV footage concluded that media reports were far from facts.
While According to what sources said, New Delhi has reached out to the Shanghai Foreign Affairs Office and Pudong airport authorities regarding the matter.
