Gautam Gambhir’s initiative touched many hearts including Shahrukh Khan.

Crickter turned philanthropist, Gautam Gambhir is engaged in collecting blessings!   

On July 31, Monday, The 35-year-old cricketer won many hearts by taking up an initiative towards human welfare by launching his first ever community kitchen. He Named it  ‘Ek Asha’, the kitchen would provide free food to poor people in Patel Nagar locality of New Delhi throughout the year.

His purpose behind this initiative is to feed poor and not let anyone sleep empty stomach.Gautam himself was also present and was seen serving the food on his own.

Not only this, Gautam is also encouraging everyone on social media,The batsman chose Twitter as a medium to spread his thouht behind the campaign and wrote: “365 days, 52 weeks, 12 months, numerous hungers & Ek Asha #communitykitchen1 #ggf.

In one of his message to his fan on social media, Gambhir said it’s time to win hearts and beat hunger after winning two world cups, IPL titles. “Won World Cups, Won IPLs, beaten opponents. Now time 2 win hearts & beat hunger. Community Kitchen #1 by Gautam Gambhir Foundation,” tweeted Gambhir.

Gambhir posted a picture of him on twitter, serving food to a needy and captioning the image Gautam wrote, “Compassion in my heart, a plate in my hand & a prayer on my lips ‘No one should sleep hungry,” said Gambhir.

Impressed by this heart-touching initiative, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan replied to Gautam by tweeting: “Let me know my Captain how I can be of use to ur initiative. Bless u,”.

The chain of tweets from the cricketer also contained another video of his Kitchen, adding caption to which he wrote, “While they had food, I binged on contentment…Thank u Almighty for giving us d strength. Day2 

Earlier, in April, Team India’s stylish left-handed opening batsman and Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) skipper Gautam Gambhir had announced to bear the full educational expenses of the 25 children of CRPF personnel martyred in the naxal attack in Chattisgarh’s Suk.
